Hawaiian Trip Begins with Sweep

Softball takes doubleheader at Chaminade

WAIPAHU, O'ahu, Hawai'i – Hits, runs, solid pitching and beaches. It was all in a day's work for Griffon Softball Thursday.
 
Missouri Western dominated a doubleheader at Chaminade to open a six-game Hawaiian road swing. The Griffons out-scored their hosts 18-5 over the two games, extending their winning streak to six games and their season record to 13-3
 
NOTABLES
  • Missouri Western racked up 11 hits in a 9-2 win in game one
  • The Griffons had 9 hits in a 9-3 win in game two
  • The bottom three in the order combined to go 7-16 at the plate in the doubleheader
  • Sydney Washington moved into 6th place on the MWSU career home runs list with 2 home runs on the day
