JOPLIN, Mo. – Griffon volleyball (19-9) defeated Missouri Southern (11-17) 3-1. MWSU hit .361 for the match, the highest in a four-set match this season.
WINNING WAYS
Missouri Western won its eighth consecutive match, the longest winning streak since 2015 when it won 10 straight matches. The Griffons have also won 12 of the last 13 matches with the only loss being at No. 5 Nebraska Kearney.
MULTIPLE ATTACKERS
MWSU had four attackers finish with 10 or more kills in the match.
Shellby Taylor also finished with 15 kills, her second highest total this season. Â Ali Tauchen had 15 kills, the most for her in a match since Oct. 13 when MWSU defeated then No. 7 Central Oklahoma. Â Stephanie Doak added 12 kills and
Rachel Losch recorded 10 kills. Lauren Murphy was credited with 52 assists on 57 of the MWSU kills.
