EDMOND, Okla. – The Missouri Western women's basketball team (11-2, 3-1) picked up its biggest win of the season, upsetting previously undefeated and No. 19 Central Oklahoma, 67-57 on Saturday afternoon.

- It was the sixth-straight MIAA road win for the Griffons dating back to last season
- Missouri Western used an 18-5 run to turn a 5-point first quarter deficit into a 10-point lead with 4:57 left in the first half

- Chelsea Dewey led all scorers with 17 points on 7-15 shooting from the field. She added a team-high six assists along with three rebounds and two steals
- Julia Torres had a team-high seven rebounds to go with her six points
- Sefulu Faavae had a team-high four steals
- Dwanisha Tate added 16 points

Another big one for Missouri Western, this time at home as the Griffons host No. 3 Pittsburg State on Jan. 5 at 5:30 p.m. in the MWSU Fieldhouse. The Gorillas lost their first game of the season Saturday, 78-70 to No. 5 Emporia State.
