ST. JOSEPH – Griffon Volleyball takes its 10-game winning streak on the road for a rare, Tuesday match at Missouri S&T this week. The Griffons opened conference play this past weekend with wins over Missouri Southern (3-0) and Southwest Baptist (3-0) at home. Missouri Western has not lost since falling 3-1 at then No. 18 Ferris State on Sept. 4.

Now No. 2 in the latest AVCA poll, Ferris State is one of two common opponents between MWSU and Missouri S&T. Both teams lost 3-1. Both schools have also faced Wisconsin-Parkside this season with Missouri S&T falling 3-1 and MWSU winning 3-0. Former MIAA foes, the two teams have not faced one another since Aug. 30, 2009, a 3-1 win for the Miners.
