Ty Danielson

Ty Danielson became assistant coach for the Griffon Men's Basketball program in the spring of 2020.

Ty spent two seasons as graduate assistant coach at Missouri Western prior to stepping into the assistant role. During those first two seasons at MWSU, Danielson assisted the staff in improving the Griffons' win total by six games each season. The 2019-20 season was the most successful for the program in 10 years; producing an 18-14 overall record with a 13-6 MIAA record and fourth place finish in the conference.

He came to Missouri Western after graduating from the University of Nebraska at Kearney, where he was a four-year member of the Lopers' basketball team. During his time at Nebraska Kearney, Danielson totaled 119 games played and 95 starts. He was named Honorable Mention All-MIAA in both his junior and senior seasons. Danielson was also a four-time MIAA Academic Honor Roll member during his time at Nebraska Kearney.

Danielson left Nebraska Kearney as one of the most accomplished shooters in school history. His 196 made three-pointers ranks him third all-time at Nebraska Kearney. His career free-throw percentage of 82.7 percent ranks fourth in Loper Basketball history. He also ranks 23rd in career points with 1,301. Danielson's career-high came in his junior season, when he scored 28 points in a home victory over Washburn.
