ST. JOSEPH - Missouri Western head women's basketball coach Rob Edmisson has announced the signings of nine student-athletes for the team's 2017-18 roster. 

In what's become a signature, Edmisson and his staff scoured the globe for the signing class, bringing in student-athletes from five different states and four different countries. The signing class features eight transfers, including three from the NCAA Division I ranks. 

Cera Ledbetter
6-1 | C | Central Arkansas | Sioux Falls, South Dakota
"A strong player with great inside presence," Edmisson said of Ledbetter. "She'll make an immediate impact at her position." 

Jessica Davies
6-3 | F | Lipscomb University | Watford, England
"Jessica is an athletic forward who can post-up and stretch the floor to the three-point line," Edmisson said. "She's going to be a tough match-up."

Dossou Ndiaye
6-2 | C | Northern Oklahoma College-Enid | Senegal
"She's a very athletic inside player with great transition skills," Edmisson said of Ndieye. "Her length and speed will be her strength." 

Katrina Roenfeldt
5-8 | G | Barton County Community College | Dodge City, Kansas
"Katrina is a versatile guard who can shoot the three and play off the bounce," Edmisson said. "She's strong and atheltic."

Brittany Atkins
5-10 | W | Oklahoma State University | Kansas City, Missouri
"She's a gifted player with Big 12 experience," Edmisson said. "She can score it from all over."

Simone Walker
5-9 | W | Cloud County Community College | Darby, Pennsylvania
"Simone is a tremendous athlete who can play several positions," Edmisson said. 

Zarya Poulava
6-0 | F | Hamilton Girls' High School | Hamilton, New Zealand
"Zarya's a stretch four who has a great skill set around the basket," Edmisson said. 

KeShara Scott
5-10 | W | Central Arizona College | Riverside, California
"She's a very strong player with versatility," Edmisson said of Scott. "She can attack the basket and rebound with energy."

Manaia Timson
5-7 | G | Life Preparatory Academy | Hamilton, New Zealand
"Timson's a crafty guard with good floor presence," Edmisson said. "She can shoot from the three-point line and is a great passer." 

Through his first five seasons, Edmisson has led the Griffons to an 89-52 mark, including back-to-back 20-plus-win seasons the last two years. In 2015-16, Missouri Western claimed the MIAA regular season championship and advanced to the NCAA Central Region tournament, finishing the year 27-4 overall. This past season, Edmisson led Missouri Western to a 21-8 overall record.
